The following kawaii images were drawn by Natsumi, a very nice Japanese artist who sent me her first beautiful artworks via postal mail, for which I have to thank her a lot! I'm really sorry that I don't seem to have any working address of Natsumi's anymore. It would be cool, if I could get in touch again, though.

Sexy Saints:

The titles and explanations accompanying the artwork are written by Natsumi so that you can appreciate her works better.

Saint
Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A warrior in Ancient Greece"

Shura in an ancient Greek dress. I don't know what kind of clothes the Goldies are wearing when they are out of fighting, but in my imagination they sometimes wear this kind of outfit in Sanctuary.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Amethyst"

My friend loves Capricorn Shura very much. I drew this for her. In Japan he is very popular among the girls. I love him, too.(=^^=)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Before the Training..."

Aiolia and Shura prepare to train. I would love to see their fight (training, of course - not a serious battle) in the anime. Lightning Plasma VS Excalibur. This must be exciting!!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A sleepy kitten"

Aiolia in the morning light. Hummm, it seems that he was staying up late drinking with his bad friend Milo or doing another ...thing with someone else...? (evil grin) Anyway, cats love having a nap even in the daytime. He must be the same. (LOL)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Shura in a casual outfit"

I drew this for my friend who loves this Capricorn Saint. She says he is one of the sexiest Goldies. I agree with that. (LOL)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A rough sketch of Milo"

Milo is smiling to someone. (*L*) I like his arrogant face expression.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi
Normal colouring
"To Cygny, Hyoga's Mama"

This is a pin-up photo of Cygnus Hyoga, one of the most popular Bronze Saints. He looks pretty melancholic in this pic. It seems that he is staring at someone standing in front of him. I don't know who she is... Maybe Miss F in the North Kingdom? (grin)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi
Moonlight shading
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "On Instinct - The Hunter, Golden Lion"

I could finally manage to draw this "unusual" picture of my dearest kitten. (^-^) In the anime he always looks sincere, gentle and a little bit shy. Particularly when he faces Marin, the king of animals suddenly becomes a cute little kitten. (*L*) However if he tries to be a seducer, he can easily captivate everyone with his sweet smile and stunning figure. I believe that he is one of the sexiest guys in St.S. I usually select dark colours for outfits but I think red is as sexy as black. The perfume he uses is Insense Ultramarine and the woman puts Hypnotic Poison on her body.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "SD Kanon <Superstar>"

I had a crazy idea of this Sea Dragon Marina. He is the master of those 7 (including Tethys) victims. Oh dear poor Generals... Kanon will be a terrible sensei who is impatient, arrogant, strict, sometimes pretty violent, naughty, clever and dictatorial. (Oh my God!!) But really yummy and captivating. (drool)
Hyoga: Phew, My master is such a Spartan. (-.-)
Sorrento: ....(You don't know how LUCKY you are!! ToT)
Isaac: Camus!!! I was wrong to leave you!!
Superstar: Quick, you brats!!!! I'm waiting!!

More Beautiful Saints:

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A Tree of Memories"

Leo Aiolia laments for his beautiful memory of Aiolos, his heroic brother. After his older brother's death, Aiolia has been humiliated in various ways and he closed his heart completely. Nonetheless, when he stands near the great tree that reminds him old, delightful days, he can't help himself and crys for his brother's affectionate hug as a small child. Poor kitten... Because of his suffering, anguish and twisted love for his brother, I love this Golden Lion more than the others. Interesting guy.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Milo and A Cat"

I drew this picture for Scorpio's birthday. He celebrates his happy day with his pet cat. I have an image that Milo likes animals. Long haired cats will suit this cute guy. Oh, but Siamese may look nice with him, too, because of their amazingly beautiful light blue eyes.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Glow"

Aiolia and Milo. Milo is Aiolia's best friend and rival. I love drawing those two together. Really cute!!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Gemini Twins"

This is the first time I drew the Gemini twins together. The above one with the gentle face is Saga and the other one with impish eyes is Kanon. Humm, beautiful twins. (droooools)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Shaka's Birth"

I drew this picture for Shaka's birthday. In the anime, baby Shaka is doing this pause on the lotus, so I tried to draw an adult version of it.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Young Sagittarius"

Seiya at his age of 19. I think he will look pretty cool when he's grown up. I love seeing him in the Sagittarius Gold Cloth. Actually it's better than the Pegasus God Cloth in the Hades chapter. IMHO, this Gold Cloth has the best design of all the armours in Saint Seiya. I love the Wyvern Surplice too, though...
Saint
Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Ice Saints"

No explanation yet
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A wail"

I know a girl who loves Saga and she told me her story of him and his best friend, Aiolos. Then an image of Gemini and Sagittarius suddenly hit me and I finished drawing this. Saga ordered Shura to kill Aiolos but at that time he was possessed of his evil side. When he comes to his senses, he always has to suffer from his guilty conscience and the loneliness. I can't imagine how sad and painful Saga's feeling is when he thinks about the old beautiful memories of his best friend. No one but he killed Aiolos. Regret, guilt, self-hatred and wailing... That's the destiny he has to accept forever. What a punishment...
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A puzzlement"

Shaka, the man closest to the Gods. He has never felt anxiety and hesitation till he faced Phoenix Saint at the battle of his temple. This is the scene after they disappeared in the fire. Shaka is gazing at Ikki with a confused look. "What makes you fight like that, Ikki?" Ikki's indomitable spirit which hasn't been destroyed even under Shaka's enormous power changed his firm belief of the justice Ares told him about. As he said in the anime, he could come back alone and leave Ikki there, but he didn't. Human feeling first began to grow in the heart of this man. I wanted to describe the vacilation and the fascination to Ikki's trust for his Goddess in Shaka's pure blue eyes.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The curse of the Demon Fist "

The Golden Lion who lost mercy and a conscience completely confronted the Pegasus Saint as a dreadful menace. All of the hidden hatred and anger he's swallowed in the past 13 years were brought out in a sudden by Saga's Demon Fist and it made him a cruel bloodthirsty monster. Seiya has nothing to stop this one of the most powerful warriors. The only thing which could calm the berserk Lion was the tragic sacrifice of one boy, for his master whom he respects. For a woman he loves. He saved Seiya at the risk of his young life.
"Come to your senses, Aiolia!" The blow of the Pegasus wing didn't only rouse him from the curse of the Demon Fist, but it also smashed the unbearable sadness and the indignity deeply engraved in his memory....
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Mu's Birthday party at the Sheep House"

I lack the time to draw this picture so it may look a little bit rough but I just want to celebrate Aries Saint's birthday. Happy birthday Mu-sama!!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The sin and the punishment"

In the world of monochrome, one tragic warrior who's got a prominent power has been suffering from the evil inside him. He sees the timeless tragedy covering the world with tears in his deep blue eyes full of sorrow. He once tried to be a God and it took his life away. Gemini Gold Saint who has both demon and angel in his mind...does with his death bury his own pathetic ill designs. I really admire Saga with a sad smile. He looks incredibly beautiful.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Aries Shion"

Mu's master. Arrogant, severe, cold and aggressive. But the guy has a stunning figure and a noble face. I think this youthful 18 year old looking ex-Kyoukou is more attractive than his disciple.(^-^) (I'm really sorry for Mu's defenders...)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Virgo Shaka"

The man closest to the Gods. I just felt like drawing beautiful Virgo with his eyes opened.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Scarlet Needle - Shinku no Dokubari"

The moment Milo is being a merciless beast. I like his attack. Really cool!!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Dedicated to Kaneto Shiozawa"
(Jan 28th, 1954 - May 10th, 2000)

The great voice actor Kaneto Shiozawa passed away on May 10th, 2000. He performed the voice of Aries Mu. There must be a lot of his fans all over the world. When I heard that news, I felt really sad. It was like Mu died with him. His wonderful performance is still imprinted on my mind.
Thank you very much for your perfect job for this Aries Saint. May he rest in peace.... Hope our gratitude can be carried to Heaven with Mu's tear drops!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "A holiday in Sanctuary"

Five Goldies on a nice beautiful spring day. They are enjoying the short peaceful holiday while doing what they like. Reading, chatting, gossiping that Camus was buried under tons of boxes of Birthday/Valentine gifts from all over the world (especially from Tokyo - but I won't say who did this...) etc. At first I was planning to put Camus in Shura's part, but I found that if I'd done this, everyone would have had blue hair except for Aiolia. It doesn't look very good. So I drew Shura who has an ebony mane instead of poor Camus who has indigo blue hair to keep the good balance of colour. I'll draw this kind of picture with other Goldies soon.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Panathenaia (To my gread comrade)"

This is the picture of Pisces Aphrodite who tends to be interpreted as a nasty, effeminate guy by a large majority of you, St.S overseas fans who seldom have the chance to read Kurumada's original. In the manga, he doesn't look that womanish and most of Aphro's fans in Japan don't adore the way the anime writers describe him. I have a friend who loves this beautiful character and she always stresses how masculine he is in Masami's story. She writes a lot of great tales dedicated to her hero and I got the opportunity to create the image of her marvellous work.
The title "Panathenaia" means the ritual of Athena's nativity. In her story there is a scene in which Aphrodite plays an important role to observe the fifth anniversary of the Goddess' birth. I really would like you to try her fanfic (It's just beautiful and outstanding), however, it's written in Japanese. I bet that not so many people can appreciate the work written in this language, unfortunately.... What a pity!! As you can see, this Pisces doesn't have the same colour as Araki's design. I esteemed her idea of colour and description for this boy. I hope you won't be confused by the different look of Aphrodite.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Milorin the Great"

I drew this silly picture for the die-hard Milo fans here. All scripts are written in Japanese so you probably won't understand what they are talking about. However, the picture is talkative enough to make you guess what kind of stupid things that Scorpio is doing. (LOL) I'll explain the rough context.
The picture shows the day when Milo just got his salary and the day before he gets the money for one month's work. In the upper box he's been arrogant to everyone (especially to Aiolia) because he's rich enough. In the lower box he's trying to steal food from Camus-sama's kitchen because he's already spent all of his money before the day his company pays him. He's wearing strange glasses and a scarf to pretend to be another person (not Milo himself, but in this case Aiolia), but Camus is not that stupid to be tricked by Milo. Oh poor Scorpio... if you're a common person who has to work at some company, you'll have to do this kind of thing every month and Camus will be the one who's gonna be annoyed by him every end of month. (-.-)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The awakening of the proud Lion -- The vow for his brother"

Leo Gold Saint Aiolia believed in the story which the evil Pope told him until he met Saori, the real Athena. Then he understood that everything he thougt of as "truth" was completely wrong. The brave Golden Lion sleeping inside him awoke. This picture shows the scene when he was going to the Kyoko's temple to face the real evil, Saga.
With the firm resolution which he swore by his proud brother's soul to die as a martyr for his faith and justice.

Realistic Looking Saints:

These pics show the Saints in a more realistic way.

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Holiday in winter"

This time I drew Leo Aiolia in the way of my own drawing style. It is more suitable when I want him to dress like this.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Scarlet"

Milo. I usually don't like blond hair Scorpio, but when I use my own drawing style, Kurumada's colour-design look more natural, unfortunately... I may use dark brown next time I draw Milo in this style. Personally I much prefer darker hair for the Gold Saints except for Shaka. Looks more masculine. (IMHO, blue hair suits Milo, Saga, DeathMask and Camus perfectly!)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Latin Boys"

Cancer DeathMask and Capricorn Shura. When I first drew Shura, I was using dark grey for his eyes, but one of my friends, who is crazy about this goat, kept telling me that he would look much nicer if he had violet eyes, then I changed my mind and the result is this. Snowish white skin, dark ebony hair and light violet eyes... Humm she's right, he looks more mysterious with vampire charm. (grin) For crabby Deathy, I use Kurumada's colour. The reason is the same as the one I wrote for Milo's pic (my original style.)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Seduction - Leo Aiolia in a different look"

A strange idea suddenly hit me: How would my dear Aiolia look if he'd exist in the real world? This is the result. (^-^) I adore only Mr. Araki's design, but it's good fun to imagine a more realistic appearance of my hero and try to search for men who look like this picture. (LOL)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Moonlight - Cancer DeathMask"

This is another 'realistic' version of DeathMask. The same reason I mentioned for Aiolia made me draw this picture. I used the colours Kurumada gave the Cancer Saint. (Gray hair looks more natural than blue hair, eh? - *smile*)

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "October - Libra"

In my country we have a culture that enjoys the beautiful moon while eating dango (sweet rice cake) and drinking green tea in autumn. However, Dohko is Chinese and I don't know what he should eat when he is watching the full moon. Then I made him have Chinese sweet geppei (I don't know how to pronounce it in Chinese.) and Oolong tea. Sorry, I know it's completely wrong but I just wanted him to eat something in this pic.....(-.-)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "November - Scorpio"

Milorin's month. He likes drinking hot chocolate of the brand Milo in the cold night. I have an image that he is very weak during cold weather.

Romantic Saints

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Belief"

I don't know when, I don't know how - but I only know that one day we will be together again.....
Shaina and Seiya. One of my favourite couples in the Saint Seiya world. In this picture Seiya forces himself to fight in the battlefield keeping one woman in his heart. He leaves Shaina not to hurt her anymore. He doesn't know if he will lose his life and that's why he tries to prevent Shaina from worrying about her love all the time she awakes. He wants her to forget about him and spend a happy life with another man. On the other hand she can't forget about her one and only beloved and she still has the hope to see him again. Tears show Shaina's deep love and the Sagittarius arrow shows Seiya's firm decision.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Summer Night"

I think I drew this picture on July 7th. This day has a romantic legend that lovers who are forced to be apart can meet. The huge river which divides them is Amanogawa (Milky Way). I just wanted to draw a romantic pic which is associated with Tanabata (Star Festival).
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The Memory of a Girl"

Phoenix Ikki is being nostalgic thinking of the girl who had to submit to the terrible fate under the power of the king of Hades. Pandora is one of my favourite female characters. I definitely prefer her to Esmeralda as Ikki's other half.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Lovers in Sepia"

....I hear your voice / It's like an Angel shining
I have no choice I hear your voice / Feels like flying
I close my eyes / Oh god I think I'm falling ....
Like a child.... / You whisper softly to me
You're in control / Just like a child Now I'm dancing
It's like a dream / No end and No beginning
You're here with me it's like a dream...!!
(From Madonna "Like a prayer")
This song always reminds me the relationship between Seiya and Shaina. Shaina's desperate love for Pegasus boy sometimes looks even sublime.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The power of Love"

I think most of people remember the scene where Seiya confronts Julian Solo who is the incarnation of Poseidon with his golden arrow of the Sagittarius Cloth. Seiya tried to attack the God but instead of killing Poseidon, the arrow hit him once and at the second trial, it hurt Shaina who made herself a vicarious sacrifice. I was deeply touched by this beautiful scene.... What a girl she is!!! (>.<)
"Poseidon, you emotionless God... You'll see the miracle that strong love gives us unlimited power which can even defeat Gods. Our friendship and love fuse to give off an enormous amount of energy!!" I wanted to draw one of the most breath-taking (romantic) scenes in Poseidon chapter. Seiya and Shaina...really an adorable couple, eh? (^-^)
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Hasta mañana, always be mine..."

I'm drawing the new story (this time no parody ^-^) about the love affair between Saints which ends up in tragedy. I selected Aiolia and Marin for this love story because they are the only couple made by the original author (not because Aiolia is my favourite...). This scene is the eve of the Holy War against Hades.
Marin becomes aware of the death of Aiolia. She knows that the boy will never come back to her, but dares to say "See ya" instead of "Good night". Then a trickle of tears ran down on her cheek. "Good night my one and only beloved. See you soon sometime, somewhere.... I can feel eternity between you and me..."

Young Saints

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Planetarium"

Saga, Aiolos and Aiolia in their childhood. I think that they are sometimes taking a walk at night to see the beautiful stars in the magnificent sky over Sanctuary. Sweet happy old days..... I really hope that all Saints have some good memories before they die.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "The Kindergarten <Sanctuary>"

Some of Japanese St.S fans and I had a crazy idea. If Aphrodite was Aiolia's real father, then what would happen? This is the result. (LOL) I drew this picture for my dear friend who is deadly in love with Pisces Saint and she prefers Kurumada's colour (Aphrodite and most of the other Goldies have blond hair and blue eyes in manga), so I gave him blond hair/blue eyes to please her. Even though I absolutely prefer Shingo Araki's (my GOD!!) designs. (^-^) Hope you'll like the image of your cuties' childhood.

Natsumi's Doujinshi Covers

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Fallen Angel"

This wonderful piece of art is the front cover of a doujinshi Natsumi is currently working at. It's a 52 pages story about DeathMask's tragic past for a comic event taking place in Japan on October 8 and will be published as print magazin. If you ask me (Stayka) - the people there will surely grab every single copy she takes with her!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Fallen Angel II"

This is the backcover of the above mentioned doujinshi by Natsumi. I think the colour of the hair of the Saints is done exceptionally well here!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Eclipse"

This is the cover illustration of the doujinshi Eclipse which was written by a friend of Natsumi's and illustrated by Natsumi herself, and it deals with the conflict and relationship of Cancer DeathMask and Leo Aiolia. Thanks for the permission to upload it!
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "Eclipse II"

This picture is the backcover of the doujinshi Eclipse. The characters, Evil Saga and Aphrodite, are drawn in the manga-style colours this time as it's the way the author of the storyline wanted to see it - but I think they look great as well this way.

Natsumi's Tarot Cards

Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "XVIII - The Moon"

In the doujinshi Eclipse for which Natsumi drew the illustrations, Cancer DeathMask represents the Moon. Thus she designed this Tarot card featuring the Cancer Gold Saint as Arcanum XVIII - The Moon.
Saint Seiya FanArt by Natsumi "XIX - The Sun"

Leo Aiolia represents the Sun in Eclipse, and so she drew this Tarot card featuring the Leo Gold Saint as Arcanum XIX - The Sun. I wonder whether she will complete the set someday :)
