Stayka's World of Darkness Stuff | Digital Web Campaign
This is a large old house. The first floor has two bedrooms, (which used to be the servants quarters and were converted), for the clinic, an examination room, a locked and *warded* medicine room, a laundry closet and an office. This part of the house, while accessable via an internal door, is usually accessed from a second outside entrance, (the clinic).
The rest of the first floor is the main house, a living room, formal dining room, library, half bath, (sink, toilet and bidet), and a kitchen with a dinette.
The library is a two tier affair. The lower level has shelves around the outer walls, and an internal spiral staircase leading to the second tier. The middle of the main level is a few soft chairs with reading lamps, a couple of tables with lamps and straight back chairs, (for doing research), and some standalone bookcases. There is a section of the library, a small *warded* hidden room, behind a revolving wall segment, where the grimoires, "spell books" and other arcane materials are kept. The upper level has door leading to the second floor hallway.
The main entrance leads to a short hallway, with a coat closet, and a "mudroom". Wet shoes/boots and outerware are left here, and slippers are provided for the visitor. Then the hallway passes the door to the living room. Continuing on, we get to the formal dineing room. Here we see a large wooden table, (looks like it might be oak), with six legs supporting it. Around the table there are chairs, (seating here is six per side plus one at each end). There is a large armoire holding formal china and crystal goblets, service for twenty plus the service plates and peices. The drawers house sterling silver service for twenty along with all the service peices.
From the Dining room, we reach the Kitchen. The Kitchen has two electric stovetops, four electric ovens, two microwave ovens, two George Foreman's "Lean Mean Fat reducing Grilling Machines" large size, Bunn coffeemaker, expresso/capaccino machine, 2 large refrigerators, a dinette set for six, everyday china service for eight, stainless steel flatware service for eight. There is a 5 gallon water cooler here with several replacement bottles. A 14" TV/VHS combo machine is here. The kitchen has a door leading to the clinic side of the house, as does the Living room.
The second floor is bedrooms and the library's upper tier. The master suite has a king size bedroom, a full bath with a stall shower as well as a large, (three person), bathtub with jacuzzi jets, and "places" for three people as well as places for drinks. There is a toilet and a bidet. There is a shelving unit, holding various towels and washcloths. as well as seashore theme. Pale blue wallpaper, halfway down, becomes ceramic tile. The ceiling is painted with an offwhite like moonlight with sparkles that look like stars when the light is dimmed. There is a laundry hamper.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed, with 2 night stands, three-line phones on both sides (Home, Office, Moira). There are lamps on each side. There is a large ceiling fan with a builtin lighting fixture. There is a walk in closet and dressing room, with multiple mirrors and makeup lighting. There is a large lowboy dresser, a matching highboy dresser. There is a 19" TV, a VHS VCR/DVD player and a cable tuner. There is an assortment of prerecorded tapes and DVDs.
The second bedroom, is Moira's. Its decorated in teen style. It has a single over full bunkbed, with a builtin dresser. There is nightstand by the lowerbunk, and a shelf with a lamp, a wireless phone cradle and an alarm clock, for the upper bunk. There are lots of stuffies. On the walls there are posters of various performers. You'll see a cd player, an amplifier with large speakers. She has lots of CDs in neatly arranged storage. She has a phone line for her room, the base unit is on a student desk, along with a study lamp, an electric pencil sharpener and an electric clock. The room has a 14" TV/VCR combo, and a cable tuner.
The third bedroom, is has a queen size bed. A dresser, a dressing table with mirrors. The room is painted in pale blue with grey indoor outdoor carpet. There is a nightstand on each side. There are table lamps on each side. There is a phone on each side. There is a 14" TV here and a wall clock. There is a folding luggage rack, (two aluminum arches, with bands, used to hold a suitcase while packaging/unpacking). You see a small desk with a straight back chair. There is a desk phone with an RJ11 dataport for a dialup ISP connection, connected to the FAX phone line.
The final room on this level is a large full bathroom, both a tub and a stall shower, both are large enough for two people. A sink, toilet and a bidet. The seashore theme continues here with white and blue bath sheets, bath towels, face towels, and hand towels. Large seashells containing smaller shells are on the counter by the sink. There is blue and white tileing on the floor, along with a water drain. The walls continue the color scheme in tile to about five feet, then pale blue wall paper. There is a clothes hamper for laundry.
There is an old semi-manual elevator, suitable for transportation of furniture or patients, as well as passengers, connecting the basement area, the end of the back hallway, (main floor, the clinic area), the second floor hallway, the third floor hallway and the attic.
The third floor is four bedrooms, 2 of these are setup as dormatories, with 4 twin beds, with a dresser and nightstand by each bed, there is a closet for each occupant. There is a student desk and chair with a phone in the room. The other two rooms are laid out for a family. There is one qween size bed and 2 twin beds, there is a room divider between them. Each bed has a dresser and a closet, there are night stands with lamps by each bed, (both sides for the queen bed). There is a student desk with a chair, with a study lamp and a phone.
The walls are painted in muted blues and greens, the floors have dark grey indoor/outdoor carpeting. There is a full bath, with the usual fixtures. There is also a half bath with a sink, toilet, and bidet. The bathroom also has a hamp for soiled clothes and linens. The bedrooms are wired for telephone and cable.
There is a wireless phone cradle in the first, second and third floor half baths. The clinic rooms have call buttons/chains in the patient rooms and half baths and the shared batheing room. The main voice line has base units for these cradles, the main batheing room, (in the basement), in the kitchen, the upper floor of the library, and the third floor bathroom. There are handsets normally in all base units and the bathrooms.
The attic is home to the resident house faeries, (gaffling spirits), who serve as the house staff. They are almost never seen, they do thier work when nobody is around or observing. The attic is off limits and *warded* against all who are not explicitly invited.
Going in the other direction, we find the finished basement. This space is divided into four rooms. This is a utility room, containing washer/dryer, electronics, generator, Water Heater, etc.
The second room is a storage room for all the medical supplys and Moonchild and Moira's things. Emergency water and food for a couple of weeks for six people. There is a radio here, its powered by a crank (muscle power) and sunlight. It receives the shortwave bands as well as the traditional AM and FM and Weather bands.
The last two rooms are described elsewhere.
The living room has pale blue walls, the ceiling is painted off white with sparkles to simulate a night sky, there is soft hidden overhead lighting meant to simulate moonlight with royal blue carpet, There is a working brick fireplace, with the usual tools and a screen in front. There is a small pile of fire wood here. There is a large soft fake fur rug in front of the fireplace. There are matching sofa (three seats) and loveseat (two seats). There is a coffee table between the couches. There are two large soft chairs facing the TV screen. On the table are books about Faeries and Spirits. There are two doors, one leads to the back hallway, (where the clinic is), the other to the front hallway, by the entrance hall. You see two windows with both light gausey curtains and heavy dark drapes, (for darkening the room for better viewing of the video display). There is a water cooler here, with paper cups.

In the basement, there is a hidden room, (behind a "secret door"). This room is vented to outside via a series of filters. The exterior vent exit appears to be a clothes dryer vent.
This room contains a small well, which glows faintly in the penumbra. This is the physical view of a small Node. The presence of the Node here makes the the contact with the Penumbra easier. The Tass this Node produces is in the of water, (sparkling water in the "real" world, and faintly glowing in the Umbra).
There are some clothing pegs, with cloaks and robes for MC and Moira. There is a floor length draped mirror on the eastern wall. The floor within the circle is covered with soft furs.
The room is square there is a tiled-in circle on the floor. A willow altar box is in the center of the circle. Looking at the altar you see a midnight blue velvet altar cloth. On the cloth you see a green Goddess candle to the northeast and red God candle, to the northwest. An altar tile with a pentacal inscribed upon it is in the center.
To west of the altar you see a cast iron cauldron, on the left side of the altar you see a silver chalice and a silver bell. There is a handmade small broom (besom) propped up to the left of the altar. You see two soapstone bowls one with sand, (representing the element of Earth), and one with water representing the Water element). To the east side of the altar you see an abalone shell containing sand, and in the sand you see a tablet of charcoal. On the charcoal, there is resin incense burning, (representing the element of Air). A silver dagger with a handcarved wooden handle (athame) in its cover and a small white handled knife with curved blade. There is a wooden, handcarved wand with a crystal tip to the west. There are many candles, (representing the element of Fire). There is a bowl with olive oil. In the altar box are various magickal supplies, herbs, prepared potions, candles, cords of all colors, and her Book of Shadows. This book is large book of sown parchment with pewter covers. The book contains various magickal formulae and recipes for magickal potions. A record of her contacts with Spirits and thier various chiminage. She also makes a record of her Workings and the results that were achieved.There are a dozen small vials, containing this water in the altar box.

Rotated to preserve freshness. --> Expendable supplies Various belts and parts for the machines, bags and belts for vacuum cleaner and other mechanical devices. complete set of gaskets and washers for above, (pumps and well housing), fuses and replacable materials for electronics and hardware, 2 cases of toilet paper, (soft 2ply), non-sterile vinyl examination gloves, 1 case each of paper towels, (2ply), paper rolls for examination room table, paper for copier/fax machine inks (color and black) for copier/fax, paper cups for patient and office use, Cottonelle Fresh Rollwipes (each of the toilets in the house has the 2 part roll, 1 roll of toilet paper 1 roll of Fresh Rollwipes), various sizes of sanitary supplies, (both pads and tampons), sterile latex gloves for surgery disposable masks (various types), disposable booties (slippers) for patient, disposable gowns, disposable robes, supplies for coffee service (various sweeteners and sugar, coffee, tea, herbal teas, paper hot cups), cases of various soft drinks.
The front yard is a neatly kept lawn with a flowerbed near the house. The main entrance is straight forward from the property gate. The side entrance, is wheelchair accessable, and meets the requirements of the Americans with Disablities Act (aka ADA).
The clinic side of the house, has a level paved path suitable for an electric wheelchair. This leads to ramp setup with the ADA complient one inch rise per one foot of ramp. There is a nice flower garden along that side of the house. The other side is neatly trimmed lawn with shrubs along the property line to shield the interior. There is a sheltered wood pile, of seasoned fire wood. The rear of the house has flowers of all types growing here. There is a large weeping willow tree that grows strongly. There is a feeling of peace and contentment here. There is a wooden bench here to rest and relax amongst the beauty of nature. One might think they were in a Glen. There is a natural spring that feeds the well here.
OOC: There was a time when this location was a Glen and the Penumbra is bright with spiritual energy. The Near Dreaming, (the Chimerical Penumbra), still shows the Glen as it was in a past age. The Soft Umbra (The Periphery) is strong here. Sometimes normal mortals will see into the Near Dreaming, (Chimerical Penumbra). One might catch a glimpse of a Dryad at play, watch water faeries playing in the spring or sylphs fliting in the air.
There are two ground floor rooms, setup as private patient rooms. The walls are painted pale blue. The ceiling is off-white. There is a TV suspended on a wall bracket, with a wired remote control on the night stand. There is a small dresser, a small closet and a small night stand. Each room has a hospital bed, fitted with restraints (should that be needed), a private half-bath, (toilet and sink), a roll away bed-desk / table. There are pegs to hang up a bathrobe or jacket. On the night stand there is a lamp, a pitcher of water and several disposable drinking glasses. There is an overhead light for general lighting as well as a dim light (night light) along the baseboard, pointing out the location of the bathroom. There is a trash can with a plastic bag liner and a laundry hamper with a plastic bag liner. There are no smoking signs in all the rooms.
There is a roll-in batheing room, with a large stall shower, the stall has a built in bench and a captive handheld shower head. This room is intended to be the batheing facility for the patients in the patient rooms. There are no smoking signs in all the rooms. There are emergancy call buttons or chains in each of the patient rooms, the associated half baths, and the batheing room.
There is a linen closet between the two rooms containing a supply of sheets, pillow cases, towels, washcloths, drainage pads, chucks (disposable drainage pads), light blankets, hospital gowns, hospital robes and slippers. There is a fully equiped locked and *warded* medicine room, including an office size refrigerator for drugs, (with all the samples of drugs the drug reps bring by). There is a walk-in closet with various gauze pads and surgical pads and sponges, various types of tape, (paper, cloth, plastic, medipore, transpore). Tegiderm (sterile clear plastic dressing), Sterile and non-sterile rubber gloves and vinyl gloves. misc mundane supplys appropriate to a small clinic / office.
This is a smallish room with many chairs and various magazines in racks. This is where a patient waits for the doctor. There are no smoking signs in all the rooms.
This is a smallish room with an examination table, (fitted with a drop out and fold down sterups for OB/GYN). There is a sink fitted with knee controls as well as the usual knobs. There is a cabinet with the usual medical paraphenalia, (sterile swabs, gauze, cotton, bandaids and misc bandages are here as well, alcohol swabs for skin cleansing before administering an injection, or taking a blood sample). There is a sphigmanometer with adjustable cuffs. A doctors scale with a capacity of 500lbs. A thermometer with disposable probe covers. A box of vinyl non-sterile examination gloves is conected to the wall, A sharps disposal container is next to it. There is a box of tissues here. On the outside of the door there is a place to put a filefolder, (a chart). There are no smoking signs in all the rooms.
You see an office with a wooden desk. There is computer hutch with a desktop computer The walls are pale green, the floor has indoor outdoor carpeting. There is a big desk chair behind the desk and three regular chairs in front of the desk. There are various framed degrees and certifications and licenses on the wall behind the desk. The permits and certifications required to operate a clinic, an emergancy generator, an elevator and other offical looking papers. There is an answering machine on the desk, along with a couple of two line telephones. There is an ergonomic kneeling chair by the computer hutch. You see what looks like an odd copier, (its a multifunction copier / fax / printer / scanner). There is a large chart filing cabinet, as well as a few ordinary file cabinets. There are no smoking signs in all the rooms. There is an office refrigerator here. There is a cabinet with a dual Mr. Coffee, there are packets of Equal (blue), Sweet-N-Low (pink), Splenda (yellow) and sugar (white), paper hot cups, premeasured / prepackaged coffee, green tea bags, black tea bags, various herbal teas, and in the refrigerator, whole milk, code-red, surge, other soft drinks, herbal tea concentrates (life magick enhanced for various effects). You see a 5-gallon water cooler with both hot and cold water taps. There are several bottles stored here.
