Marvin_Black looks at the young mages and then up to the 'sky' "Why me? Why didn't I just stay in bed?"

Hannibal_Golux looks around him and regards what looks at like a heavily modified palmpilot in his hands.

Marvin_Black looks again at the lightning that strikes the ground "Ok, now we're dead..."

AC_Newton thinks this guy doesn't look that intimidating. A bit weird, but probably okay.

Hannibal_Golux is a tallish man with a shock of white hair and milk white skin.

Marvin_Black takes another look at Hannibal "Oh... Great.. Another lost soul" and sighs.

Asm0dai walks away grumbling about the incompetence of youth these days.

Hannibal_Golux is wearing a long black coat hiding what you can make out to be various different gadgets. You cannot see his eyes behind dark shades in which is reflected what appears to be a digital matrix of some kind.

<MC_Farstrider> You see a 20-something young woman, with straight red hair, violet eyes, she has a slim muscular build, height 5'8", weight about 120lbs. She's wearing jeans, shirt, high boots and light jacket. She wears a backpack and carries a staff.

AC_Newton looks curiously at the albino (?)

Helge11 sulks and goes into the direction where the scans showed the Magickal energies.

<Francois_Dupres> Ms Newton was told by a man wearing black suit and mirroshades that in this spot she could find a treasure.

AC_Newton sulks.

<Francois_Dupres> A powerfull talisman who could give immortality. Soooooo....

Hannibal_Golux sighs.

AC_Newton is still tomato-red, the colour of her face matches precisely that of her hair.

<Hannibal_Golux> Indeed. As I said, it could have been a lot worse.

<Marvin_Black> And the light at the end of the tunnel is the wrecker's fire.. I know....

<Helge11> When I took it up and put it on, it suddenly fused into my flesh... But it didn't hurt - on the contrary!

<ST> (Francois: You see a beautifully crafted bracelet, but it's not certain whether it's a Device or a Talisman.)

<Hannibal_Golux> Uncertain.

<Marvin_Black> And this guy in TV says it emits some Prime, Entropy and Forces...

<Francois_Dupres> (Does the bracelet have a distinct style? Like Sumerian, Egyptian etc...)

Marvin_Black points to the screen.

Helge11 looks at the bracelet, for the first time appearing to be a bit worried.

Hannibal_Golux arcs an eyebrow at Marvin.

Marvin_Black looks at Hannibal "Yes?"

<ST> (Francois: You have a vague memory that there had been some kinds of dangerous Talismans used on gullible Mages to ensnare them. Those Talismans were obviously very desirable, but had bad side-effects.)

AC_Newton is still so embarassed that she decides to keep low profile for now.

<Helge11> Well, anything that can tell me what I've gotten myself into here...

Hannibal_Golux whispers to AC_Newton, "Keep an eye on this one. If he starts to act in a way you think is... unusual, let me know."

Marvin_Black retunes his TV to get a more in depth info about the Entropy effects that are stored in this bracelet.

AC_Newton is glad that there seems to be someone who took charge now.

MC_Farstrider meditates for a bit, then summons earth elementals to guard the passages (conduits).

Hannibal_Golux's shades fill with a flurry of digital code as he interfaces with his heavily modified PalmPilot as he directly feeds the code into the machine. If his eyes are closed, open or even blinking you cannot tell by looking at him.

AC_Newton finds Hannibal highly fascinating.

MC_Farstrider directs them to each of the connecting conduits to guard agaisnt access.

<AC_Newton> So... Now we have a Firewall, guards at the conduits and an Entropy ring... Plus a ...another ward ring.

<Marvin_Black> Hmm... Wouldn't one need some paraphernalia for summoning such beings? And loads of magickal words?

<MC_Farstrider> I cast a circle with 3 - three (as you know the power of 3 helps with such things)

Hannibal_Golux returns with a mug of sweet smelling tea in a white Feng Shui mug with Happiness on it. He gives it to Marvin that his happiness may last a little longer and then returns to his compiling body of code.

AC_Newton thinks that this is definitely too high for her.

MC_Farstrider smiles.

Marvin_Black looks at the cup somewhat puzzled and takes it "Oh.. Thanks..." then he looks at MC "You need words and symbols and candles and so on... Just as far as I know it..."

Hannibal_Golux is just waiting for the code to compile.

Cethlenn goes to hug Moira and passes thru her.

AC_Newton frowns deeply as she sees *that*.

<MC_Farstrider> Well, you can do it that way... But I find it lots easier to just ask the spirits for help.

<Cethlenn> Oh dear I forgot ;)

Hannibal_Golux sits back, and his shades are no longer filled with code. He puts down his PalmPilot, and you see an icon forming, slowly, as the code compiles into the firewall.

Helge11 has silently watched the groups for about two or three hours now. He thinks they are utterly amazing.

<Marvin_Black> But to get in contact, you have to do this stuff - singing and such things, you can find in the old grimoires and even the new ones say something like that. You know... There's a good esoteric bookstore around my corner.

Cethlenn stands and concentrates for a moment.

Hannibal_Golux suddenly looks startled to see Cethlenn standing there.

Cethlenn then goes and hugs Moira warmly.

<MC_Farstrider> I was summoned, MC needed a 3rd to cast a Circle.

<Hannibal_Golux> If a man in mirrorshades sent you to look for a bracelet you're in bad luck.

AC_Newton grimaces.

MC_Farstrider walks over to Han and hugs him warmly.

Hannibal_Golux frowns, apparently slightly confused for a moment, but then shrugs and regards his compiling code with a look of quiet satisfaction.

<MC_Farstrider> I'm a more... umm... primordial entity.

<Marvin_Black> Have we done it?

Hannibal_Golux looks at Marvin: "Done what?"

<Francois_Dupres> Are you all finished?

<Marvin_Black> Just sealed the sector.

<Hannibal_Golux> Not yet. My code needs to finish compiling.

<MC_Farstrider> I posted elementals at each of the six conduits as guardians.

<Francois_Dupres> Let me know when you are done.

<AC_Newton> And what was I supposed to do? Or did you do everything already?

<Marvin_Black> Something about a force field?

<Hannibal_Golux> Not speak to anyone in mirrorshades and a suit.

Hannibal_Golux smiles cynically at AC.

Cethlenn thinks that's odd... I believe in humans.

AC_Newton looks bewildered at Cethlenn.

Hannibal_Golux regards his completed firewall. The icon that stands before you appears to be a 9-ft tall flaming giant with broad shoulders. Looking closely, you can see similar features in the jawline and brow of the icon as with Hannibal. Certainly his handiwork.

Marvin_Black laughs about Cathleen's comment.

Cethlenn borrows some soil from the elemental and clears a spot.

<Hannibal_Golux> This is no ordinary firewall. It runs on an artificial intelligence so it can anticipate and counter attempts to get past it.

<Marvin_Black> Phew... I do not want to meet this one at night.

Cethlenn then pokes a seed into the soil.

<AC_Newton> Hanni: I'm sure it's pretty efficient.

<MC_Farstrider> Perhaps I should instruct the elementals to take orders from the firewall?

Cethlenn concentrates ... A tree starts to grow.

<Marvin_Black> Is this something like Black ICE you can read about in RPGs?

<Hannibal_Golux> It should be. And with everyone's additional wards, nothing will be going in or out of that sector for a long, long time. Moonchild, if you wish. I just need to copy the code for each conduit.

<AC_Newton> Marv: Looks more like Black_FIRE to me!

MC_Farstrider directs the elementals to follow the lead of the tall flaming fellow.

Hannibal_Golux smiles with pride. He copies the relevant number of additional firewalls to cover all the conduits.

<AC_Newton> Marvin: FIRE is the Fully Individual Rebound Equipment a friend of mine devised a while ago...

Hannibal_Golux then makes a backup of the code for any future occasion. Not that he's going to forget how to built this one in a hurry.

MC_Farstrider walks the circle and dispells it, returning the energy to where it came from.
