ST-Logger is an eggdrop bot (script version 1.6.17) that originally ran on my old Celeron 366 machine under Gentoo Linux with a 2.4 kernel. Currently, he is installed on my HostEurope VPS Linux server with SuSE 9.1. This bot provides a couple of useful services for #agww:
To introduce yourself to ST-Logger type
/msg ST-Logger hiya
After you introduced yourself to him, please set a password via
/msg ST-Logger pass <password>
This password is needed to use the notes function, to set an info line, and to identify yourself to the bot if you login into IRC from another computer than usual.
Typing the line
/msg ST-Logger help
gives you a list of commands and how to obtain help on them. Please note that the ident command was renamed to identme for security reasons.
The available /msg commands are:
/msg ST-Logger addhost <password> <hostmask>
/msg ST-Logger help <command>
/msg ST-Logger identme <password> [nickname]
/msg ST-Logger info <password> [channel] [your infoline]
see description below
/msg ST-Logger pass <initial password>
/msg ST-Logger pass <old password> <new password>
see description below
/msg ST-Logger who <channel>
/msg ST-Logger whois <some nickname>
If you want to know when the next sessions on #agww are set, just type
!timetable
This gives you an overview over all currently set campaigns for the next weeks via private message.
To print the schedule to the channel, type:
!printtimetable
This points you to this help file for ST-Logger:
!commands
This points you to the homepage for the #agww online campains:
!homepage
This tells you how to invoke the timetable functions:
!schedule
If there is new info, you can check it with
!info
To print the info/news to the channel, type:
!printinfo
This allows you to check for upcoming online RPG sessions:
!timetable
This prints the upcoming online RPG sessions to the channel:
!printtimetable
If you want to leave other people on the channel a note, they need to be introduced to ST-Logger. A list of people who are known to him can be found here.
/msg ST-Logger notes <password> index
gives you an overview of the notes you have gotten.
/msg ST-Logger notes <password> read <number>
lets your read the note of the specified number,
/msg ST-Logger notes <password> erase <number>
deletes the note of the specified number.
If you wish to send someone a note, you have to type
/msg ST-Logger notes <password> to <username> <message text>
The seen function is invoked by typing
/msg ST-Logger seen <nickname>
ST-Logger tells you via /msg when the person in question was last seen on the channel.
Furthermore I added a TCL seen script additionally to the built-in seen. It is invoked by:
!seen <nickname>
The simple version of the two dice scripts in ST-Logger is invoked by typing
!roll [<number>#]<number>d<sides>
in the channel; that is if you want to roll five ten-sided dice, you type
!roll 5d10
You can roll a maximum of 20 dice to avoid spamming the channel.
If you need to roll dice more than once (for example for an extended ritual), you can tell ST-Logger to do that right away. So if you need three consecutive rolls of 5 10-sided dice, you would type
!roll 3#5d10
The repeat function is limited to a maximum of 5 consecutive rolls.
The second dice function was written by Argillcaeus, and its syntax is comparatively more complex:
!wwdice <dice> [difficulty <diff>] [threshold <thresh>] [speciality]
<dice> is the number of 10-sided dice to be rolled. (Default 1.)
<diff> is the difficulty of the roll. (Default 6.)
<thresh> is the threshold of the roll. (Default 0.)
including [speciality] causes 10s to be re-rolled.
'difficulty' can be shortened to 'diff' or 'd'
'threshold' can be shortened to 'thresh' or 't'
'speciality' can be shortened to 'spec' or 's'
Whitespace between optional arguments is necessary, between an argument and its parameter it is not. (ie. '!wwdice 5 d4 s' is valid, '!wwdice 5d4s' is not.)
WWDice commenting change syntax:
/msg ST-Logger comment[s] [off|brief|verbose]
